The workshop, held at the scenic Saint-Santin lake, saw participation from over 30 children aged 8-15. Experienced TPP12 members led the sessions, covering essential topics such as knot tying, bait selection, and responsible angling practices. The young anglers were thrilled to learn new skills and put them to the test, catching a variety of fish species. This event underscores TPP12’s commitment to engaging youth in structured, responsible angling activities, fostering a love for the sport and respect for aquatic environments.

Participants also learned about the importance of conservation and sustainable fishing practices. The instructors emphasized the need to protect fish habitats and follow regulations to ensure the long-term health of the ecosystem. The workshop included a demonstration on proper fish handling techniques, ensuring the safe release of caught fish. This educational component is crucial in shaping the next generation of responsible anglers, instilling values of environmental stewardship.

The success of the workshop has inspired TPP12 to plan more youth-focused events in the future. The club aims to expand its fishing school program, offering regular sessions for children and teenagers. By providing accessible and engaging angling opportunities, TPP12 hopes to cultivate a lifelong passion for fishing and contribute to the growth of the sport in the region. The club is grateful for the support of its members and the local community in making these events possible.
